This wall piece is a custom sound panel built entirely from deconstructed denim—old jeans, shorts, pockets, waistbands, and scraps stitched together into a single patchwork block. Every section came from real, worn clothing, so the texture carries all the fades, frays, and history you only get from denim that’s lived a full life.
Mounted against the studio wall, the panel works like acoustic treatment but doubles as a piece of art. It’s raw, uneven, layered, and built by hand with exposed stitching and visible seams. The goal wasn’t perfection—it was to turn leftover material into something functional and expressive at the same time.
Made for the Almost Alchemy studio as part of the ongoing effort to transform used materials into new environments, new energy, and new creative spaces.
